While the message of "The Witness" is still very important; God has laid it on my heart to start a new blog called "Israel Prayer Update." This blog will feature stories from ministries in Israel that will help us to learn how to pray for Israel as well as news from Israel Today, Haaretz, and Jerusalem Post, among others.
The Witness will still serve as a primary blog about the ministry of visions and dreams that God gives me and others. It is my prayer that you will join me on "Israel Prayer Update" as well so that you too may know how to pray for our friends in Israel.
Blessings of Peace to you!
Thus I have searched among them for someone who would build a wall or stand in the breach before me to keep me from destroying the land; but I found no one. Ezekiel 22:30

Hey, God, Can I ask you a question?
Earlier today I asked the question “When you die, what is the first thing you are going to ask God?” Many people came up with good answers; some were passive aggressive and posted on their own walls that God isn’t to be questioned and some were just up front about being to busy in worship to worry about asking God questions. However, I need to ask one more question, “Why shouldn’t we question God?”
If one opens their Bibles they will see the story of Abraham, did he not question God? Bargain with Him to spare the people of Sodom and Gomorrah if one righteous could be found? Another shining example of someone questioning God is the story of Jacob wrestling with God. I have no doubt in my mind that while Jacob was wrestling with God that he was also asking God some tough questions. From Jacob we see that Job questioned God on a regular basis when he was going through painful experiences. David, a man called the apple of God’s eye questioned God. What about Hannah? Did she not sit on the temple steps, crying and weeping over a much longed for child; I bet she asked some questions of God.
Questioning God isn’t bad; I am pretty sure He expects us to ask questions. Do you remember asking your parents a question when you were younger and they answered you? I remember as a child, telling my parents, I was going to ride my bicycle in the road; my mother told me “no!” I questioned my mother; only to find out that it was because I could get hit if I played in the road. Even after I was old enough to play in the road, I can say it probably wasn’t such a great idea. I was out riding my bicycle (yes, in the road); I pulled over on the side because some older kids were driving their car up the road. I don’t remember much, but I do remember being clipped by a car mirror and crawling up my parent’s driveway, leaving my bike in the road.
One of my favorite stories in the Bible is that of Habakkuk. Habakkuk questioned God. He (paraphrased) asked God “Why do the righteous suffer, and why do you remain silent?” He found his answers in an unexpected fashion: He found he “must alter his perspective on the ways of God with mankind.” The ultimate answer to such difficult questions always takes the questioner back to God himself. Habakkuk questioned God, but ultimately the prophet came back to the profound answer for all the questions of life—he returned to the theme of the greatness and the majesty of God.
You see God is the friend of the honest doubter who dares to talk to God rather than about him. Prayer that includes an element of questioning God may be a means of increasing one’s faith. Expressing doubts and crying out about unfair situations in the universe show one’s trust in God and one’s confidence that God should and does have an answer to humanity’s insoluble problems. Such an experience of doubting is not, however, “to be normative. Habakkuk’s willingness to question and therefore to know the God of the universe rather than settle for knowing the god of popular theology allowed him to see the reality of the world situation.
Questioning God doesn’t make us automatically bad, or unfaithful; rather it builds our faith. So my question again is, “if you were to die right now, and you could ask God any question in the world, what would it be?” You don’t have to answer here, but I do encourage you to be open, be honest, God already knows exactly what you are going to ask, so don’t hide it...ask!
Wrapped in His Arms
I don't often speak about my personal prayer life, however today I feel like I can just write and write and write about prayer. Yesterday I spoke about the ability to go to Almighty God and ask Him a question; today, I was thinking about prayer and in that prayer the act of donning a talllit.
You may be asking, What is a tallit? Does it serve as a reminder? What does it do for your prayer life? Does it make you closer to God?
The Tallit is a four-cornered prayer shawl with specially knotted fringes, called tzitzit, worn as a reminder to live a mitzvah-centered life. The tallit is a portable spiritual home in which you can wrap yourself at home, in synagogue or when you are away on adventures and desire time for prayer, reflection or healing from a sore spot in your life. A person generally selects or receives his/her first full tallit during the process of preparation for bar or bat mitzvah. Some Jews always wear a light-weight tallit under their clothes called a tallit kattan, "little tallit" and others prefer the full shawl-style tallit for prayer and special occasions in life.
As for what does it do for your prayer life? Well for me, it is a reminder of the ordinance that Jesus gave "go into your closet and pray." It's like I am closer to God because I have greater concentration on Him when I wear my tallit. But does it make me closer to God? Wearing a tallit when I pray doesn't make me closer to God nor does it make me more holy.
So what does it do for me? Like all people I desire interaction. I desire human communication, touch and even the occassional hug. When I wrap that cloth around my shoulders and I stand there briefly I feel as if God himself is standing there giving me a hug. It's like He's taking all the broken pieces and putting them back together again.
Wearing a tallit when I pray doesn't make me holy, only God's grace can do that; it doesn't mean I am closer to God than anyone else, God isn't a respector of persons. No, wearing a tallit is being wrapped in God's wings, finding shelter from the everyday storm that I am enduring, it's finding a sanctuary for just God and me to commune and no one else is allowed in that space. Wearing a tallit, is truly being in fellowship with God.

Message from God 7-28
Yet again, I find myself listening to the sweet voice of my Lord. Today's message isn't one of doom and gloom, not that the others have been, but they have been more on the 'End Time' side of things. This one encouraged my soul and brought me peace to my heart.
My child, you knew you'd be despised and rejected, why are you surprised? Do not be--I know your heart and I know you! Your faith waivers from time to time, but you are strong--You know that I am with you.
My servants are rarely received with rejoicing. Those that are, have often times made a name for themselves and have yet to receive my instruction on how to handle "fame." It is my servants on Earth today who remain humble that shall be called great-those whom the world calls great have their rewards already. You see men, yes even those of great faith desire their rewards now. To this day, they do not heed my words "Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven. “Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you." (Matthew 6:1-4, ESV) Instead they do many things, broadcast it and refuse to let go of Earthbound glories and rewards. Greater are the rewards awaiting my righteous servants who do in secret. How would you want to be remembered?

Message from God 7-25
Today, as I was in a chatroom on Paltalk, God just kept saying “Eternity invading Time.” As I thought about this during dinner, I came home and felt God impress upon me “Eternity invading Time, By force and God’s Kingdom.”
Then I felt God impress upon me, "Put on your prayer shawl--tallit" so I did. Then I heard "Eternity is invading time, God's Kingdom shall be taken or take force. What follows is what God revealed to me.
Evil men are getting ready to take this world by force. Evil in the form of demonic forces are trying to invade my kingdom—my established Church. Violent men, violent women and sadly children will be used to deceive others. Yet do not worry, let your heart know peace, fore I am coming soon. Right now My armies, the very Armies of Heaven are gearing up to wage war against the enemy of my children. Do not forget that my kingdom can use force—eternity is invading time. My kingdom is going to enter time by force and then every knee shall bow and know that I am God.
Listening to God
During my prayer time I often sit and listen to what God may be telling me. When I first got this 'word' I didn't feel like I should share it immediately, matter of fact, I didn't feel as if I should share it at all. Then I felt the Lord lead me to share this with someone; next He impressed upon me to share with others...and now it is being shared here with you. I encourage you to test the Spirit that this was written in. It may not be written for you, but I sincerely believe this is for someone who visits this site. May God bless you!
My child, do not believe every wind of doctrine. What you see happening in Israel is supposed to happen. It is written in my book, I revealed it through My Son Jesus and later to my servant John. Be aware that Israel is going to suffer great things. Things that will make Me look like I have forsaken her. Remember this must happen. Instead of promoting the war against terrorism, promote peace; be the change that others can see in the world. Right now you hear a lot about anti-semitism; remember the Arabs are Semites as well. Remember that My Son Jesus died for the Arabs as well. Yes, pray for Israel, love her people, but love ALL of her people, not just the Jews. Instead of seeking honor among friends in Israel, seek honor in My kingdom. Set forth an honorable life by ministering My Son Jesus. For without My Son, nothing in Israel worships me. You have read that Paul says all of Israel will be saved; until they call upon the name of my Son; they shall be forever lost. But I shall not tarry much longer. For the time is close at hand that I shall return to gather my faithful.
None of my children today shall see a 3rd temple. Rejoice in this; rejoice because my temple is meant to be a house of praise and a house of prayer; this new temple shall be a blasphemous house set before an unholy god. A god of this world. Be at peace with these words; do not waste another moment in worry about a people who reject Me--any people who reject Me. Rejection of My Son is a direct rejection of My love, My grace and My salvation--it is a leaning unto their own understanding which My Servant Solomon warned against.
Many times you, yourself have strayed from Me. Each time I have gently called you back. Remember that I am a still, small voice, and I won't yell over what you deem more important than Me. Gently I call you to be My servant, to move into a realm that is greater than you--when you worry more about a people and a land that is rejecting Me; the farther you get from the blessings I want to give You. Today I am calling..calling you to a place of repentance and grace; so that you may show My people, even from a far what it is to live a Holy life consecrated to Me...will you answer Me? Will you stop wasting precious moments worrying about what you can't stop from happening to come and be a Light of what life is truly about?
Do not worry about the rejection you will face; rejection in the life of my servants; then ones who truly love and follow Me is normal. My Son Jesus taught that you will be blessed if you are persecuted. You will lose people you thought were your friends if you answer yes; great many people will reject this new life that I am giving you. You will be lonely; your heart will be broken, but remember that a broken and contrite heart are the sacrifices that I honor now. I am gathering My army on Earth, my strongest soldiers for what is about to happen; I am coming soon.

What The Old Testament Authors Really Cared About
Are you looking for a Textbook that gives a great survey of
the bible that Jesus would have used? This is it! What the Old Testament
Authors really cared about is a great book that gives information that many are
seeking and too afraid to ask about. Easily understood this book is written in
the format of the Law, Prophets and Writings just as the Jewish Tankah would
be.
Each Chapter heralds information that is simplistic yet
still deep enough for a graduate student to use in their studies. When you
begin each chapter you are given a “Who When Where Why” overview and a short
synopsis of the book. You are also introduced to the K-I-N-G-D-O-M story
through images program. This unique tool helps you know what the book is
talking about as well as what each image means. By mixing illustrations with
modern Israel photos and drawings, the story of the OT comes to life and helps
the modern reader understand why Jews do what they do today; based on what
their faith taught them years ago.
As a youth minister I looked for books that would help me
make the Old Testament relevant to my students. As a Bible teacher, I continue
that search and have found a timeless resource in this book. It is my hope that
everyone who reads this book will also find a timeless resource and a renewed
joy in reading the Old Testament with understanding of what the authors really
cared about.
