Many of my readers are probably from a "Christain" background, and possibly a Southern Baptist denomination. Unlike many of my readers, I have true, Jewish roots in my family tree. I can trace my lineage to the Davidic line of kings. (Preposterous! I hear you...I thought so too!) However, it's true.
Right now I am in Seminary. The hardest lesson I am learning is that there is NO ROOM for females in a Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. I am being made sure that I get this message, because no one has answered my discussion boards, no one has remotely treated me kindly in this class. Yet, that isn't the lesson...I believe wholeheartedly the lesson is "Seminary and ministry aren't about Rachel...they are about Jesus (Yeshua), God and Salvation through the death and resurrection of our savior."
Please continue to pray for me during this time. Learning to not be offended because of my gender has been hard...but also pray that I will continue to grow, so that I can be an effective minister (Rabbi).
COMING SOON: Easter or Passover? A Christian decides!
Thus I have searched among them for someone who would build a wall or stand in the breach before me to keep me from destroying the land; but I found no one. Ezekiel 22:30
